Sustainable and Organic Children’s Clothing by Petit Tembo

Our children’s clothes are 90% second-hand goods passed down from generation to generation, but we do enjoy finding new companies to work with to promote sustainable children’s clothing via organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, and even upcycling of materials.

I am honored to feature Petit Tembo, the gorgeous Canadian brand, in today’s sustainable children’s fashion feature. I cannot speak highly enough of this company and the softness of their fabrics. The boys have hit their #30wears within just a couple of short months!

I am a big believer in the words of Ms. Westwood…

Buy less. Choose well. Make it last.

Sustainable Home Goods with Lüks

Our family has been on a sustainable and ethical fashion journey for nearly 1 year now and it has been life-changing. Once we became conscious of the hell that happens behind the scenes of the fast-fashion world, we decided that enough was enough and it was time to fight back.

Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want.

Camping Adventure with Children (Sustainable and Ethical Travel Series)

Our family just got home from a wonderful camping trip and I was able to film lots and lots for you all!

All of our prior arrangements were thrown out the window when the rain rolled in and stayed North (exactly where we were headed!) so we had to adapt and head South instead. We ended up staying at Lago di Garda and had such a magical time with the rock covered lake.

Come join us on our camping adventure with children; from washing cloth diapers to sleeping in our van!

After all the amazing feedback from our original zero waste post, we decided to walk around the house and find everything that we use on a daily basis that isn’t so pretty; you know…the REAL life stuff.

The menstrual pads, the dish cleaners, the sheets hanging on the window….that kind of stuff! The stuff you don’t have to buy but that you may already have lying around the house. Here we go!

My Personal Sustainable and Ethical Father’s Day Shopping List

Hey, Mamas! Today I wanted to share with you all exactly what I purchased Martin for Father’s Day this year to spread some good brand awareness, share some super cool zero waste gift ideas, and highlight the need for more sustainable male options.

I was really shocked by how little options our male counterparts had in the sustainable world, but at the same time, I only found amazing quality and superb options. The pickings may be slim, but sometimes that’s exactly what we need. Fewer distractions, less “options” and just simple and great quality goods. Let’s dive into this Father’s Day Shopping List! Our Montessori Inspired Toddler Bedroom (Twin Style!)

Welcome back to the blog, Mamas! Today we are talking about our favorite room in the apartment; the boys Montessori inspired toddler bedroom! This was the room that took me well over 3 months to concentrate on in order to find exactly what the boys needed.

In those 3 months, the house was a bit chaotic and the boys just could NOT wind down. The family room turned into their playroom, my bedroom turned into their jumping room, the kitchen turned into their drumming room and we all needed a break haha. I realized that the one thing missing from our home was a room without distractions; a relaxing room for reading books, rubbing bellies and daydreaming. That is this very room! Read more
